Built around solar from the start
zappi can continuously adjust charging around surplus solar or other on-site generation, helping you put more of the energy you produce directly into the car.

Trusted Home EV Charger Installations. Our OZEV and NAPIT approved team provides expert advice, transparent pricing, fully compliant installations, and quality workmanship from start to finish.

Why zappi?
zappi is one of our strongest recommendations for homes where EV charging is part of a wider energy setup. Solar, battery storage and detailed energy control are where it really stands out, while it still works perfectly well as a conventional smart home charger.
If you already have solar — or expect to add solar or battery storage later — zappi’s home-energy focus gives it an advantage over chargers designed mainly around simple scheduled charging.
zappi can continuously adjust charging around surplus solar or other on-site generation, helping you put more of the energy you produce directly into the car.
Choose FAST when you simply want maximum charging speed, ECO to blend renewable and grid energy, or ECO+ when you want to prioritise surplus generation much more aggressively.
The myenergi app can bring EV charging together with other myenergi products, giving you a clearer view of grid import, export, solar generation and stored energy.
Tariff integration, timers, dynamic load balancing and app monitoring give energy-conscious users plenty to work with, but zappi can still be used like a straightforward plug-in-and-charge wallbox.
Have solar, battery storage or bigger home-energy plans? Tell us what you already have installed and we’ll advise whether zappi is the best fit for the system.

zappi is the charger we look at when solar and wider home-energy control are high on the priority list. It can work as a straightforward smart charger, but its real strength is managing grid and self-generated energy together.
Best for: homes with solar, battery storage or plans for a wider home-energy setup where you want much more control over where the car's electricity comes from.
Choose FAST for maximum available charging power, ECO to blend available renewable generation with grid energy, or ECO+ to prioritise surplus self-generated power.
zappi continually monitors household energy flows and can adjust EV charging around available solar or other microgeneration, reducing unnecessary grid imports.
Choose a permanently attached Type 2 cable for day-to-day convenience or a socketed version if you prefer to store the charging cable separately.
The myenergi app brings charging and compatible home-energy products together, making zappi especially useful where EV charging is part of a broader solar, battery or energy-management setup.

zappi is built around home-energy management. It works as a conventional fast home charger, but its standout feature is the ability to intelligently use solar and other self-generated energy.
Specs shown for the current myenergi zappi platform; exact single/three-phase and cable configuration will be confirmed at survey.
Everything you need to know about zappi and your installation, including 7kW vs 22kW, tethered vs untethered, solar charging modes and warranty.
For a typical UK single-phase home, the usual choice is a 7kW zappi. A 22kW three-phase version is also available where the property has a suitable three-phase supply and the vehicle can make use of it.
You can also choose tethered, with the Type 2 charging cable permanently attached, or untethered, with a locking Type 2 socket for your own removable cable.
We'll check your supply, vehicle and parking position before recommending which combination actually makes sense.
A standard zappi installation typically takes around 3 hours. Most jobs are completed in a single visit by one of our own engineers, including mounting the charger, running the cable, fitting the required electrical protection, commissioning the charger and testing everything before we hand over.
More involved installations — such as longer cable runs, consumer-unit work or difficult access — can take longer. We'll identify anything outside a standard installation when we quote, rather than surprising you with extra work on the day.
We install myenergi zappi chargers across North West England and North Wales. If you're near the edge of our usual coverage area, send us your postcode and we'll confirm whether we can reach you before you go any further. There's no charge to ask.
Solar integration is one of zappi's biggest strengths. Its ECO, ECO+ and FAST modes let you choose how aggressively the charger prioritises self-generated electricity against grid power.
ECO can blend available renewable generation with grid electricity, while ECO+ is designed to prioritise surplus generation more strongly. FAST behaves like a conventional maximum-power home charge when speed matters more.
The best mode and CT setup depends on your solar array, export behaviour, battery system and how quickly you normally need the car charged.
myenergi provides a 3-year standard manufacturer warranty on zappi, with an optional extended warranty taking cover to five years.
That's alongside our own 3-year workmanship warranty covering your installation. As an OZEV-authorised, NAPIT-certified installer with our own in-house team, the people carrying out your installation are the people who stand behind the work afterwards.
We price myenergi zappi installations on request because there are several meaningful configurations — including 7kW/22kW, tethered/untethered and differing energy-monitoring requirements.
Your quote is still free and fixed before booking. We'll specify the exact charger and installation required rather than advertising a headline price that doesn't reflect the setup you actually need.
EV chargepoint grants: there isn't a general home-charger grant for an owner-occupier of a standard house with private off-street parking. Support remains available for qualifying renters and flat owners, residential landlords and qualifying households using an approved cross-pavement solution for on-street parking. Current eligible home schemes can cover 75% of the cost up to £500 and are funded until 31 March 2027. We'll tell you if your installation may qualify.
Free, no-obligation pricing from a local in-house team - no subcontractors, no pressure. Most installs are booked in the same week across the North West and North Wales.
